Every good and perfect gift comes from above

I am so loving the way everything is going here! This past week has been amazing for me. I've enjoyed spending time with my Mama for the time she is here with me and I have loved seeing friends and family again. I am blessed abundantly!

Today was my first day at work actually! A cause for celebration for me and you can bet I will find some way to celebrate this great accomplishment. My Mom has been a huge support for me here while settling in and my father, brother, sister, boyfriend, best friend, and close friends from home have all supported me in many different wonderful ways, whether with words of encouragement or just by writing me to check in consistently.

I miss everyone tremendously but I've turned my focus towards living in the now and enjoying every moment I can here. It truly is a dream come true to be able to come and live here. The Chaco has always called me and held a special place in my heart and it always will.

I have been blessed with a job working with children every day! Those of you who know me well know that this is something that is also a dream come true for me! It was a bit difficult jumping in to be honest. Everyone spoke Spanish and mine is limited. But by the time I had left, I'd learned new words and I had learned how to communicate with just simple words and phrases. I understood most of what was being said and it was actually really fun being forced to communicate in a way that was different than I was used to.

I'm sure at the rate I'm going, my darling toddlers will have their Tia Naomi speaking Spanish fluently in no time. I'm glad language hasn't been too difficult of a struggle for me while being here. Spanish is my fourth language though, so it may require quite a bit of special attention when I have free time, but I'm fully dedicated to it. It won't be long until I'll be carrying a dictionary in my pocket either. ;)

Every day, I thank God for all that He has given me here so far. Praise God for His goodness.

TTFN!

Naomi C.
