Mosquitoes, Hangovers, and Adjustments

We finally made it here! We're in the Chaco! After days of travel, we've arrived at our destination and I am currently coming to terms with how utterly crazy I am. I'm still not entirely sure what possessed me to make this move, but so far it's gone rather well. Adjusting has been difficult but that will all fall into place in time. The worst adjustment so far has been the time change. We're four hours ahead of Canada right now, and at the end of the month, we'll be five hours. My body's eating schedule is quite different and my sleeping patterns need a little work, but those things will change, I'm sure. All part of adjusting to a different continent.

We've been with family constantly since getting here, but others that we've had the pleasure of coming in contact with are mosquitoes... Oh those terrible things. Blood sucking vampires. They're so in love with my fresh foreign blood that they just can't get enough of me!

Mother and I are still recovering from our travel hangover, but so far have been settling in nicely. It's been a rough adjustment on both of our bodies, but we've managed to enjoy ourselves nonetheless, despite being a little loco.

So there you have it! We're here, we're settling in, and so far so good! The adventure has just begun..
